ResophNotes has a hard to remember (and spell) name but it is a good, simple note taking app that syncs with Simplenote.
If you want a lightweight, no fuss note taking app for Windows, ResophNotes will do just that. It is so "no fuss," in fact, that it doesn't even allow rich text formatting. Just jot down your notes and have them synced between your Windows machines with Simplenote's cloud service.
The most advanced feature of ResophNotes is its ability to sync with Simplenote. You can use Simplenote's web interface to edit and save notes, making your notes available wherever you can access a browser.
If you had using a mouse, you'll be glad to know that ResophNotes has a ton of keyboard shortcuts so you never need to lift a hand to use a mouse. ResophNotes also features note tagging and search so you can find your notes quickly.
Also particularly handy is ResophNotes' ability to automatically save your notes so you never lose your work. This is particularly useful for those who forget to save their work.
There's also a portable version of ResophNotes for you to put and use on a USB drive.
While Simplenotes is good for simple notes, users wanting more features will want to try out Evernote instead.
